The project Flusslicht 2008 showed installations by 15 international artists in the port of Hamburg, which could only be discovered with a special vessel. The BUG staged the exciting moment of a launch from the now abandoned shipyard. The fragile composition of light and shadow seemed to float out of the shipyard towards the water; a poetic memory of the history of the place.

Das Projekt Flusslicht 2008 zeigte Installationen 15 internationaler Künstler im Hamburger Hafen, die ausschließlich mit einer speziellen Barkasse zu entdecken waren. Der BUG inszenierte den spannungsgeladenen Moment eines Stapellaufs aus der jetzt leer stehenden Werfthalle. Die fragile Komposition aus Licht und Schatten schwebte scheinbar aus der Halle – dem Wasser entgegen; eine poetische Erinnerung an die Geschichte des Orts.
