Travel – Video – Installation – Projection
The project trans art lantico combines art, travel and sailing. Video recordings of a sailing voyage from Hamburg to Buenos Aires in 2011/12 are projected onto a sitespecific fabric installation. The fabric surfaces are charged with movement, while the images of the video are fragmented and abstracted by the fabric elements. The installation is transformed into a multitude of sculptural screens in space: a walk-in film that enables a new, threedimensional level of perception and experience of reproduced images.
Reise – Video – Installation – Projektion
Das Projekt trans art lantico verbindet Kunst, Reisen und Segeln miteinander. Videoaufnahmen der Reise mit einer Segeljacht von Hamburg nach Buenos Aires 2011/12 werden auf eine raumbezogene Tuchinstallation projiziert. Die Tuchflächen werden mit Bewegung aufgeladen, während die Bilder des Videos durch die Tuchelemente fragmentarisiert und abstrahiert werden. Die Installation verwandelt sich in eine Vielzahl skulpturaler screens im Raum. Eine begehbare Filminstallation, die eine neue, dreidimensionale Ebene der Wahrnehmung und des Erlebens von reproduzierten Bildern ermöglicht.
